Mandate

The Archives Act and the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information impose to the school boards some obligations in order to structure the management of their documents.

Therefore, the Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB) Archives Centre is responsible for:

  • Records  Classification Plan;
  • Records Retention Schedule;
  • Management of the destruction of documents in order to ensure their confidentiality;
  • Reference services, advice, loan of documents and consultations, in a fast and efficient manner, with all clientele.

How to Proceed in Order to have Access to a Student’s Records

A student who is still attending one of our ETSB schools must:

→ Go to the MOZAÏK portal 

A student who has left an ETSB school during the current school year, or who has left such a school within the last three years must:

→ Forward a request to the secretary of the school most recently attended.

A student who attended an Adult Education Centre or a Vocational Training Centre must:

→ Contact the Centre directly.

A student who has left an Eastern Townships School Board school more than three years ago may obtain a certificate of studies or of attendance, a copy of a report card or a transcript of marks, by following the procedure described below:

→ Click on Request for student records fill out and sign the form.

→ Pay the required $10 fee for each request (cash or by cheque payable to Eastern Townships School Board). The request will be answered within five (5) working days once the payment has been received.

→ Attach copies of two (2) pieces of identification.

→ Forward the documents either by one of the options mentioned below:
