Who are our dropouts?

In 2008 - 2009, 682 Estrie students left school without having obtained a diploma or qualification. Out of these 682 students, 130 of them came from the Eastern Townships School Board.

DEFINITION

DROPOUT RATE (Leave without obtaining a diploma or qualification)

1) Proportion of students leaving school, based on the total number of students leaving school, who have not obtained a diploma (DES, DEP, ASP) or a qualification (ISPJ, CFER, AFP, CFMS, CFPT) during an academic year.

AND

2) Who, the following school year, are not enrolled in any Quebec educational institution, whether it be in general education for youth (in the public or private sector), in general education for adults or in vocational education.
