Volunteer Appreciation Awards 2012-2013

 

 

The Parents Committee of the Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB) is pleased to announce that it is inviting nominations for the 2012-2013 Volunteer Appreciation Awards. This year’s  initiative was a success and received positive feedback; therefore we are looking forward to having even more nominees next year.

 

While the committee knows that most schools encourage and recognize the valuable contribution that volunteers make within our schools, we, in collaboration with the School Board, wish to have an annual event where we recognize a special volunteer from each school within the Board. In addition, two of these outstanding volunteers, one from the elementary schools and one from the secondary schools, will be recognized as our recipients of the 2012-2013 Volunteer Appreciation Award.

 

Any parent, teacher or principal within our school board may nominate a person for this award. You cannot nominate a family member. The candidate must be a volunteer within the school system, and cannot be a paid employee of the ETSB. Candidates must be nominated on the official nomination form (see below), which must be completed and handed into the school Principal by noon on November 30th 2012. The Principal will then forward all nominations to Sharon Priest at the board office.

 

The Parents Committee will review the nominations and select one volunteer from each school to be recognized. As well they will select two outstanding volunteers, one from the elementary and one from the secondary schools, to be recognized with our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Award.

 

The volunteers selected from each school will be invited to a Gala event (date to be determined) to be held in Magog, hosted by the Eastern Townships School Board where the two winners of the Volunteer Appreciation Awards will be announced.
