• Describe the problem, list possible solutions, weigh the pros and cons and try out one or two possible solutions.
• Manage your stress level.
• Develop good work methods.
4- BUILD ON YOUR STRENGTHS
• Recognize your strengths and talents, or ask your friends!
• Make use of your strengths and talents in your activities.
5- SET YOUR GOALS
• Set realistic goals for short-, medium- and long-term objectives.
• Write down your goals.
• Identify concrete ways of meeting your goals.
• Each week, evaluate if you have put in the required effort in using these ideas.
• Reward yourself for your achievements.
6- IMAGINE SUCCEEDING
• Imagine yourself succeeding, and compose a short positive sentence as a reminder.
7- JOIN IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
• Take part in an activity you like; it can help you want to stay in school.
8- CHOOSE GOOD FRIENDS
• Choose friends who can help, not hurt. People who think of dropping out can make you less interested in succeeding.
9- MAKE ROOM FOR YOUR PARENTS
• Keep your parents in the loop about what you’re doing and where you’re going.
• Talk with your parents about school, your grades, and your plans for the future.
• Keep in touch with your friends.
