A regional mobilization is essential!

Dropping out of school is a very complex reality. The decision to leave school does not happen overnight. It is the result of accumulated periods of frustration over an extended period of time. A young person who decides to drop out will rarely does so as a result of only one factor. Factors documented by researchers are grouped into personal and family factors as well as factors related to their educational pathway, the school itself or the community where the student lives. It is the combination of a multitude of factors that leads to dropping out.

For this reason it is important to have several people involved from the school, the family and community settings, providing the opportunity to address several different factors at once in various settings. Within this perspective regional mobilization is essential to truly change the current situation.

With the high dropout rate, we need to all work together and become accountable for finding solutions.
