Eastern Townships School Board’s « Show Your Talent » 2010 Gala
ETSB honours students’ talent
MAGOG, June 4, 2010 – The Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB) unveiled the winners of its second annual “Show Your Talent “ competition at the Orford Arts Centre on June 4th 2010.
This competition showcased the talent and creativity of ETSB students who produced informative and entertaining projects under the theme of “Showcase Your Community”.
Students participated on an individual basis, in small groups or within the framework of projects that brought a whole classroom of students together. There was also an open video category that welcomed projects from staff members. In all over 100 entries that ranged from video audio, writing and multimedia presentations that highlighted dynamic and diverse communities across the Townships and beyond were received.
A jury consisting of teachers, education professionals, support staff, parents and commissioners using rubrics that examined such requirements as theme and presentation chose this year’s winners. With the high caliber of some entries, the selection in many cases was difficult and very close. The wining entries received a commemorative plaque and either a digital camera for class projects or an I-pod for individual ones.
