Magog, June 7, 2010 – The Eastern Townships School Board (ETSB) wishes to inform all its students and parents that although teachers affiliated with the Syndicat de l’enseignment de la Haute-Yamaska, of the Commission scolaire du Val-Des-Cerfs (CSVDC) have announced their intention of a strike on June 8th forcing the closure of CSVDC schools and centres, all ETSB schools and centres are open as usual. School bus transportation will operate as usual for students of the ETSB and all classes and exams will be held as scheduled.
This strike announcement does not affect the teachers of the ETSB who are affiliated with the Appalachian Teachers Association (ATA).
