Recognition for Employees
Magog, February 21, 2006- The Council of Commissioners of the Eastern Townships School Board unanimously supported a resolution recognizing and congratulating all the employees of the school board for their outstanding contribution to the success of the Dennis McCullough Initiative-Enhanced Learning Strategy (ELS).
The Director General, Ronald Canuel, brought forth the resolution to formally congratulate all the personnel of the ETSB for their dedication, hard work and support to enhancing the learning conditions for all of the students of the ETSB.
The recently held Share Fair at Massey Vanier High School “ provided a first class opportunity for personnel to share, with colleagues, the numerous approaches taken to enhance the learning and teaching conditions in our classrooms”, stated Mr. Canuel from the reading of the resolution.
The ELS, in its third year of deployment, is showing increased achievement in literacy as well as a corresponding decline in student absenteeism and negative behavioral referrals to the school administration. The success of the program is attributable to the dedicated employees of the ETSB.
