Territory comparison

The following assignment requires your Team to provide a geographical comparison between the Province of Quebec and the State of Alaska. This comparison should help identify the similarities and differences in the areas of relief, climate, wildlife, population, and cultural demographics. This research project will be done on power point, but will also be supported by poster maps, graphs, video clips, and any other means you seem fit. Your presentation should be at least 15 minutes and will require all members of your team to present a 3-4 minute portion of the project. Each member of your group should become an expert in one area of the project. The following are areas of comparison that should be visited by your team:

• Relief ( Significant physical attributes, mountains, lakes, etc)
• Vegetation ( Types of trees, plant species, and % of arable land )
• Climate ( Average winter and summer temperatures, precipitation, biomes )
• Wildlife ( Animal and plants species within the territory )
• Industries ( Manufacturing, forestry, tourism, and natural resources)
• Cultural demographics ( Languages spoken, religious beliefs, life span, population, major cities, etc )
• Government
• Health care and education
