Happy New Year to everyone and I hope that you each had an enjoyable and peaceful vacation.

Just to inform you that our next PPO meeting will be held on January 11th at 6:30. Our next Governing Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 19th at 7:00.

CanSpell:  The Knowlton Academy Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, January 12 at 9:00 a.m.   Our thanks go to Wendy Harvey for her leadership in organizing the CanSpell activities.

Ski Program:  Many thanks to all of you who have already sent in payment for the Ski Program.  We recognize that this collection period before Christmas may have been a burden for some families and we appreciate your effort in submitting the money.  If you were unable to make the payment, please communicate with the office so that we can make arrangements.  Congratulations to Rylie Thompson in Mrs. Kay’s class who won a $200 voucher at Sutton Snow School at the incentive drawing held on December 21st.

Our Ski Program will be starting on Tuesday, January 18, please refer back to your document or visit our school web site for more information. We would appreciate full payment by Monday, January 17th.

Thanks and appreciation to Nicolas Lemaître for his leadership of the Ski Program, as well as to his generous team of volunteers and teachers who offer tireless support.

2011-2012 Registration:  We are pleased to be commencing registrations for the upcoming school year.  Forms will be issued shortly to our current students.  If  your child or the child of someone you know wishes to register as a new student for the upcoming school year (Kindergarten or any other grade), please call the office to schedule an appointment with Brenda Scott (450-243-6187).  We are current ready to receive new registrations if you haven’t already done so in the fall.  Please circulate the news throughout the community.

Christmas Activities:  Many thanks to everyone for your support of all Christmas activities.  Thanks to the Parent’s Committee and the many helping hands and generous donations of syrup, the Pancake Breakfast was enjoyed by all.  The Harmony Band again provided us with a warm musical celebration leading into the holidays.  All donations toward the Christmas Baskets and Food Bank were picked up and will certainly be appreciated by our community families in need.  The Christmas Concert was a great success and St. Paul’s Church and Reverend Wiebe provided us with a very special Christmas service.  Many thanks to Yannick Breton and his staff of Chef a Domicile for a delicious Christmas dinner.  Congratulations to all staff and volunteers for making very special school Christmas memories for our children.

School Fees:  Thanks to all who have paid their school fees.  If you have not yet paid, please remit payment as soon as possible or contact the office to make arrangements for a payment schedule.  Outstanding bills will be forwarded to a collection agency shortly.

My Best Wishes for 2011!
